i might as well be naked, this is so great. I just want to nerd out.

yesterday was the five year anniversary of my best friends death. i took it a lot harder than i thought i would. i was hoping i could just let it be another day in my life instead i was near tears all of the day and i just felt like there was this giant hole in my heart.
then i was sitting outside, smoking a cigarette counting down the hours till i was off work, talking on the phone with my new best friend, the one who's the same age as the old best friend would have been and who i sometimes see glimpses of the old best friend in and i saw a shooting star.
since arthurs suicide, i've seen very few shooting stars, but each of them was at a time when i really needed him. or miss him. so i felt instantly better.
i'm working seven days a week at two jobs that i love. i'm living in an apartment that i love with my new best friend and even though i'm lonely i'm happy.
i'm especially happy that i'm going to see rilo kiley and death cab for cutie and that i'm going to prom. i'm excited for other people in my life who have great new things going on in their lives and i'm happy to be there for them. i'm super excited about quitting smoking again.

so there's a blog. i don't really know if anyone really reads these anymore.

here's a brief list of things I do on a fairly daily basis. You know, for those of you who say you don't know what I do with myself.

between 9am and noon: wake up. usually to take drew to work. I prefer when he wakes me up because he's all nice and cuddly and sweet and calls me miss underwear. If he wakes me up around nine, I take him to work and am back in bed by 9:15. Sleep until 1.

between noon and 3pm debate a nap or trying to stay asleep. refuse to get dressed. talk on the phone. Watch tv shows that I've recorded. Possibly get online. Sometimes shower. See Drew for lunch.

between 3 and 6pm get ready for work. Try and do something with my hair that isn't pig tails and try and decide how much make up is too much make up to wear to work at Pizza Hut.

while at work (usually until 11pm) Make pizza. Sexually harass Thom. Wash my hands. Take money from ugly people. Cut pizza. Order around my CSRs (or interns as I like to call them). Eat pizza. Sing loudly. Goof off with Danielle. Flirt with cute customers. Take a break. Wash hands some more. Do dishes. Graze on the make table. Contemplate spitting in peoples food. CHicken out. Mop. Flash drivers on Main Street.


between 11pm and 3am it's usually going back to Danielles house and watching Greys Anatomy and eating chips these days. Sometimes I come home, watch TV or Naruto with Drew. We give eachother massages. We either cook or go out. We play with the cat. We fight over couch space. He goes to bed. I get online. Then I read. Then I masturbate. Then I go to sleep.


On special days like today when I get off work early and have a little cash, I go sit in a smoky bingo hall and play with ink. Sometimes I eat really good french fries and cheesecake. I never win.

so, as some of you may know, i've been working as a pizza delivery driver for a few weeks now and i've discovered a lot about people and tipping. i never imagined that i'd have a job where i'd be getting tips so it was all very new to me and at first i was just stoked to have extra cash. but then i started to think about things. about how much money i was getting and how people treat tipping and i thought i'd write this helpful guide for you with tipping, and having a pizza delivered.

if your pizza arrives on time, is warm, and your delivery driver is friendly it's nice to tip them. When I say "tip them" i don't mean tell them to "keep the change" on a 24.99 bill when you hand me 25.00. what the fuck am i going to do with a penny? frankly, anything less than a quarter as a tip makes me kind of sad.

the delivery fee is NOT a built in tip. I don't get that whole three dollars you have to pay. I don't even get half of it. so please don't assume that you've got the tip covered.

$2-$3 is an okay tip most of the time. but if you order $75 worth of pizza and only give me $2? I'm going to be pissed. did you know that we have 30 minutes most of the time to get your order to you? It doesn't matter if you order one pizza and seven. We have to make them all and get them to you and I hate carrying more than one bag. It sucks.

if something is not on your receipt, i'm not bringing it to you and it's not an excuse to not tip me. no, i'm sorry i don't carry a bunch of extra ranch and two liters in my car. it's not a fucking convenient store, it's my car. you can't just decide you want a fucking dr. pepper after i arrive and expect me to bring it back to you when you didn't even pay for it.

turn on your porch light. be wearing clothes. have your money ready. all basic things, right? Don't be annoyed if I call you because I don't know where I'm going. I'm trying to get your pizza to you as quickly as possible and sometimes our map is wrong. Or sometimes I just get lost. I'm sorry.

If it's raining tip more. I brought you pizza in the rain and the mud instead of you leaving your comfy ass couch and your scrubs reruns and getting wet. it's nice.

ditto if it's windy. or any other kind of inconvenient weather.

if you live in a GIGANTIC apartment complex and your apartment is as FAR away from the parking lot as possible you should tip.

remember, i get paid minimum wage. i have bills to pay too. i make less money than you most likely so a little bit helps out.
just think: a tip would make you happy, wouldn't it?
